I haven't posted in a while , but want to show what I just finished hooking . Last year I bought this pattern , it was printed on burlap . I transferred it onto linen. Then I gave the burlap pattern to Sandy , from Woolen Memories to draw and sell . It is a beautiful antique design , so it was okay to copy . I have seen this pattern long ago and just loved it .
These are pictures of it as I was hooking .
Saturday I went to The Quiet Corner Hook In, which took place in Woodstock , CT . Woolen Memories was set up and finally saw my piece completed . Sandy just said the nicest things about it , she Loved it . She will use the picture she took of it when she sells the pattern . This morning Sandy had posted this on Face Book . Her picture came out great . Her photo is the last one . It is such a wonderful compliment for her use a picture of my work . I really enjoyed hooking this !
I saw that Sandy had posted it. An ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL finish. So very old looking. You done good!!!

DeleteI've been wondering what you've been up to! Oh, my! That rug is just stunning!! The relatively simple color palette couldn't be more perfect! And the movement of your hooking is so very beautiful. And how generous of you to give the original pattern to Sandy to reproduce.
ReplyDeleteThis took me a lot longer to hook , it is the biggest rug so far and I really had to think about what colors to use . I hope Sandy receives lots of orders for the pattern , it is really nice to hook . Thank you Robin !
