My husband and I have been keeping busy !

My husband likes to keep busy in the Winter time . He has been busy making his little houses and came up with this really cute idea ! I will post 2 pictures ...one I took inside and the other was outdoors.

Think it looks so cute when it is dark , the little lights he puts in the snow show up really well. He will be making a lot more and I will help paint the windows and doors ,so they all look a little different . The house is 3 inches tall and it is 3 and 1/2 inch wide . The base it is on is 6 inches across and 4inches deep.

I have been busy hooking ! A very good friend gave me this great pattern for Christmas, It is called "Button Eyes" . It is an adaptation by Carol Weatherman. The Sampling sells this pattern. It is 23 inches by 35inches. I hooked the dog to look like ours . I want to hook the background to look blotchy in assorted shades of dirty mustards . I hope to make it look like an old rug.

Today was a warmer day , in the 40's . It is raining now and will turn to snow tomorrow thru Monday morning . Good weather to stay home , warm & cozy in the house . Then we go back to freezing temperatures .  Thank for visiting !

  2. Those little houses are adorable!! So much detail for being so diminutive. Your dog rug is looking fantastic! So realistic and dimensional! Can't wait to see him finished (which, knowing you, won't be a long wait!). It's hard to imagine rain at this point. Like my mum used to say, it's too cold to even snow here. Take care and stay warm! ~Robin~

Your rug!!! No words to adequately describe how wonderful it is. That biggie rug will soon be done, I'm sure. Be sure to come back and share.
